James Kasselmann served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1982-2002 and completed his twenty-years of active duty service as a Lieutenant Colonel.  He and his wife Maureen moved to Arizona in 2017.

James Kasselmann began working for Dexcom in September 2016 and is the site General Manager and head of Manufacturing at the Dexcom facility located in Mesa, AZ.  Prior to beginning at Dexcom, James served in a series of leadership positions in the biopharmaceutical industry from 2003 – 2016.  He was the site head at Gilead Sciences’ biologics campus located in Oceanside, CA.  He also worked for Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, where he oversaw the clinical production of biologic therapies for various cancer and anti-inflammatory diseases.  Prior to running the clinical production plant, he supported the Genentech campus in Oceanside, CA in several key leadership positions as the head of commercial Quality Control, Supply-chain, and Operational Excellence.  Prior to Genentech, James worked for IDEC Pharmaceuticals and Biogen in Supply-chain and Quality Control leadership positions.
